Dragon Heart.... Re: Comparing Charts
28-Apr-97
... the best way to learn is to practice. Compare charts of famous couples you know and are interested in. Here are some things you can use:
1) Planets that the Sun aspects by progression shows the kind of men a woman is attracted to as the years go by. Sun aspecting Mars can mean an attraction to athletes and soldiers.
2) The same is true with the Moon in a man's chart.
3) Saturn in the 5th house is said to mean delays in courtship, attraction to older people, and few children. Jupiter in the 5th can increase the number of children.
4) Mars and Venus show sex drive and love. If in Gemini and strong, the person may have changeable affections, marry twice or more, or have twins. BUT I'VE NEVER WITNESSED THIS BEFORE. Only read of it.
5) Yes, the planets in the 7th is said to reflect the spouse. The Sun or Venus there is considered favorable. Neptune there can mean platonic, spiritual relationships. Uranus can lead to sudden marriages, much adventure or divorce. But let's hear from others, too.
When comparing charts, look for these:
1) Mars-Venus aspects. A conjunction sounds good; an opposition shows strong attraction.
2) Aspects to Mercury. If one person's Mercury is opposed another's, you can see that they disagree on a lot of things, and may quarrel often.
3) Sun, Moon and Ascendant. Very basic characteristics should be compared for compatibility.
4) Aspects to Nodes. One person's Jupiter trine another's N. Node is good, for he'll encourage her to grow as a person.
5) A person's Saturn falling in another person's 10th house can mean that the latter may feel pressured to mature at work, as urged by the former.
These are some things I've noted while comparing charts. More, but that's it for now. It's late.

Saturn Aspects
I think that the conjunction of Sat to the asc is more significant, as many people born within the same year might have Sat conjunctions...however, perhaps the fact that his own Sat sits there too is also significant... those conjunctions between charts (Sat to the Sun, asc, Moon...and Mars and Venus I think)... are apparently quite binding in relationships, and seen often in marraiges... its maybe what makes us stay and grow huh???
My partner and I have Sat/Sun cj...my Saturn on his Sun...binding is a word that comes to mind... (1 degree orb)... a very good friend of mine has Tau rising with Sat in the asc (12th house) my Sat conjuncts her asc, first house... and a friendship is different seeing as you dont live with the person, but I have found it to be one the expectations are different to other friendships I have... I think squares and oppositions count too here...
Still learning Cuspy, but Saturn contacts in synastry have my undivided attention... Sat sure as hell is a teacher of deserving of respect... if you are interested Liz Greene has some interting stuff in "Saturn, a new look at an old devil" about Saturn in synastry, she also refers to karmic links and Sat if you are interested....

Saturn Aspects
Gayle
... yea, actually there is a sure
quality about Saturn synastries. I agree. In my case, Sagittarius I often
find myself with or acting as a guide or mentor. One Sagittarius friend
who I don't see to much these days, still 'credits' me for pointing/pushing
her towards her new career choice from a time she was kind of 'wandering'
looking for the "suitable" thing for her energies.
The other thing with the Saturn connections, is these people _always_ tell me I am the best "hugger" ... Saturn == security, holding. I know it sounds like an odd thing but perhaps 'trust' only comes with that kind of physical security and so we will drift to the Saturn Signs where we want some support. I keep getting support from Saturn in Aquarius people off and on. No plan, but I'm begining to "spot" them, these are the ones who 'know' I can do something and just ask me "when". Amazin'
Rest easy folks Saturn is hear to stay :)

Uranus Aspects
Uranas aspects between
peoples charts seem to be more common than neptune
aspects. There are also
many ways these uranian aspects can manifest. Although it can
indicate a quick 'exiting'
encounter, in general this is not the case. Uranus aspects
between charts indicate
lessons of independence vs. dependence, as the uranian
person will demand a
great deal of individual freedom in the relationship. If the person
with the personal planet
is too dependent on the uranian person these relationships
can end suddenly, however
if both people have a strong sense of self-idenity, the
uranian aspects will
make for a lasting and very exiting relationship. Jealousy,
manipulation and emotional
control will not work at all in these types of relationships
(nor should they work
in any type of relationship *S*). These are the types of
relationships were the
two people will spend weeks or even months apart (not always
physically apart, but
emotionally) so that each will have the personal freedom to be an
individual. Then every
so often, they will find each other again and rekindle their
passion. These types
of relationships need alot of "exitiment" and "experimentation"
or bordem can result.
Karmically speaking, this people were often forced apart in
previous existences or
they were not allowed to pursue their interests in each other do
to obligations.

Neptune Aspects
Hi all
"O", some excellent information
on the generalities of aspect angles. That information
can be used when comparing
aspects in ones individual chart as well as when
comparing two chart.
When neptune of ones chart
makes aspects to the personal planets or Asc. of anothers
chart it can have many
meanings. It could mean a spiritual connection or it could mean
a drug connection. Either
way it is very easy for the neptune person to decieve the
other person if the neptune
person is being less than honest. The person with the
personal planet will
idealize the neptune person often placing them upon a pedestal
from which they will
eventually fall. In long term relationships (karmic) there is
generally a strong love
connection and much admiration for each other, especially with
the easy aspects. With
the hard aspects watch out for deciet which will not always be
intentional.

Pluto Aspects
H Actually that's an interesting
topic in itself. While we focus on our own Plutos fairly
exclusively here, how
about how we deal with someone else's Pluto in our chart?
I find it interesting
that while Pluto has been a feature on my mother's and my
interaction, I don't
have serious or difficult Pluto aspects in my chart. Perhaps in this
life I choose not to
own it, and that we simply irritated each other, as we went along. I
guess I never felt that
she played dirty and I made a conscious effort (albeit somtimes
difficult) not to buy
her emotional blackmail. It's interesting.
My old astrology teacher
had Mars in Virgo and considered himself to be very thorough
in whatever he put his
efforts into. My Pluto was conj his Mars.... I felt he could improve
his methodology...hmmmm
the compulsive reformist Pluto in action. Of course I would
never say this to him.
Libra Moon would forbid me to do something that might
offend...if that was
not the intent.

Pluto Aspects
Nina M - There are
astrologers who think that Pluto/Moon connections in charts are
"karmic". With my Pluto
in 1Leo in 2th conjunct Saturn (ruler of my 5th- Leo house!)
ALL my Pluto connections
seem quite "fated". ( And by that, of course I mean Pluto to
personal planets) My
husband's Pluto opposes my 5th house Moon - his Venus is
conjunct my Moon (and
you reallise this means HE has the Venus/Pluto opposition
natally - Yikes!) Oh,
but there is more.... my Pluto opposes his Venus. Btw, if you evah
meet someone with that
same match-up - RUN!!! Seriously.
I read in Linda Goodman's
book on Relationships something like this - "What did you
DO in your past life
to deserve this?" LOL!
We have a nodal connection
as well. So, I guess that means we better get it right this
time...perhaps the nodal
connection (a trine)makes it easier to do it right? I dunno. All I
know, is that it hasn't
been easy. Ah...but worth it? Of course. And when it's good - it is
VERY very good. (but
when it's bad - well, y'know how the poem goes...it's horrid!)
Back to Moms - My Mom
and I share the same Gemmie birthday. Her birthtime is
unknown - born at home
and not recorded...but it is possible that she has a cuspy
Scorp/or Sag Moon. (Her
mother was a cuspy Sag! - Nov. 26th) Her Pluto conjuncts my
Venus.
My Mom and I look very much alike.
