Dear Friends,

Not all messages will be archived; most will not be, for obvious practical reasons.  We have to choose wisely.  As the self-appointed editor,(oh, well... no one else applied. :-)   I was first to make choices.  But I can hardly do this alone, not just because I'm ignorant of several of the topics; but since you are regulars of Astro-Chat, you know what gives our community a heart.  If you have favorite posts not included in the archives, but which you believe are worth keeping there, please e-mail me the posts and we'll add them.

Nobody owns Astro-Chat; there is not a single ACer who alone can decide what to keep and what not to.  However, I believe that we can agree on a few general guidelines to regulate the flow of posts into the archives.  Please e-mail your questions, comments or suggestions here

Special thanks to Wiccat for providing the web space. :-)

Happy Reading!

----------------------------------------------------------

Keep in mind that the purpose of the archives is to give a useful reference to astrology students. Archive topics cover subjects of general interest, such as major transits, Saturn Returns, Karma, the mysterious 8th/12th houses, synastry, etc.  It will be difficult to archive posts about specific aspects of somebody's chart (e.g. a Sun square Moon).  This is only my opinion.

Non-astrological topics may be included. But I'm not yet sure how this can be arranged.  I believe it will need its own guidelines.  For now, I'm only collecting astrological ones.

Do not write messages you intend to be added directly to the Archives.  You may NOT post at the Archives directly, as with the Astro-Chat forums.   Only messages that have been posted first at the AC forums may be archived.

----------------------------------------------------------

Contributions must be sufficiently detailed.  For example,  when discussing Saturn in the birth chart, the aspects and house positions must be included, if they seem relevant to  the topic.  Very sketchy posts don't make useful reference.  The ideal post does not have to be very long, but it should be informative.

Articles from other Web Sites are NOT eligible for submission.

Messages may quote books in small parts, but the author and title  of the book must be mentioned.  A link to an online bookstore will be included.

Posts may be edited for clarity, but will not be spell-checked.  However, a single post may be broken up into many others if it covers several subjects; while many posts by the same author may be condensed to just one.  The original author will be contacted if possible.

----------------------------------------------------------

There is no guarantee that each and every author will be notified   about their articles at the archive.  The e-mail address may no longer be valid, and/or the author no longer active at Astro-Chat.

There is absolutely no guarantee that any information provided by the authors are accurate (e.g. calculation of data).  Even less that their interpretations of astrological influences are always correct.  The authors are students and still learning.  And no one - not even the professional - is infallible.  Nothing in the archives is to be read as Holy Writ.  And the authors are not be blamed for any action taken by readers after reading their posts. (I mean readers who may be going through similar transits, etc.)  Be responsible for your own life: THE FOOL IS RULED BY THE STARS; THE WISE IS GUIDED BY THEM.
